The challenge
The challenge was to create a model Compacta (70 x 90 cm) but with a high level of detail, able to visually explain complex concepts in an intuitive way.
In addition, it should be interactive and dynamic, simulating the movement of the sun, the orientation of the panels and the flow of energy, all within a period of One month since the approval of the project.
The Solution
At Prototípalo, we design and manufacture a model that combines engineering, design and technology in a visually appealing format.
- Realistic movement: An Arduino coordinates 16 servos that adjust the orientation of the solar panels according to the position of the sun, represented by a stepper motor that simulates a full day.
- Advanced visual effects: Addressable LEDs show in real time the direction of energy (battery → consumption, battery → network), as well as lighting in buildings and high voltage lines.
- Compact and accurate: Each element was custom designed to fit into the small space without losing fidelity or detail.
The result
The model exceeded Telefónica's expectations, meeting all your needs and surprising with its level of detail.
It is currently a centerpiece in “LaCabina”, used daily in presentations to senior managers and institutional leaders.
Its visual impact has allowed complex concepts to be understood quickly and attractively, reinforcing Telefónica's position as a reference in innovation and energy sustainability.
The conclusion
This project demonstrates how well-designed physical support can transform the way in which complex technological projects communicate.
